I’ve been working on an action/comedy chick lit novel since spring of last year and I’m finally ready to unveil it. It will be released in February of next year. Because nothing says romance like a little crime. ;P
MOLLY MIRANDA: THEIF FOR HIRE
Professional, experienced contract burglar.
It’s not exactly something you can put on a business card.
Twenty-something Molly Miranda has successfully made a living “acquiring” valuables (art, jewelry, historical artifacts, erotic Egyptian statues…) and delivering them to clients for buckets of cash.
So what if she has to lie about her lavish Manhattan lifestyle and her frequent trips out of the country?
Molly has EVERYTHING. UNDER. CONTROL.
That is, until she accidentally sleeps with her charming roommate (oops) and partners up with an untrustworthy wildcard for a job assignment that doesn’t go quite as planned.
Molly must choose between the life of a criminal and the (boring) life of a 9-to-5 civilian.
Join Molly on her adventures as she dodges bullets, trespasses, wears disguises, and steals her way into trouble.
Please note: my book isn’t published yet. I just printed out the cover and taped it around a book I didn’t enjoy. haha
It will be printed next year though- with your help. I’m starting an Indiegogo campaign next week. I need to raise $1500 in order to release my book as a polished and professional paperback/ebook novel.
But where does that $1500 go?
- 50-ish percent goes to an editor and a proofreader
- 40-ish percent goes to fulfilling the campaign perks
- 4-9-ish percent goes back to Indiegogo
Why Should You Back This Project?
By investing in this project, you are helping to jump start not just this book but a book series starring this feisty, witty, kick-ass protagonist.
One of the reasons I wrote this book was because I had a hard time finding funny action novels starring women. Hopefully this book will help fill a gap in the market.
I’ve been writing stories since I was a kid–probably over 20 years. Some little girls dream about become princesses or singers or mothers. I always dreamed of people reading my stories and falling for the characters I’ve created. If my book could become a reality, it would be an amazing experience and a real milestone in my life.
